Auzentech is nowadays best known as Creative’s partner for the X-Fi sound processor, which it has used quite frequently. The latest two are two budget sound cards that use different sound processors, this time from C-Media and VIA. Auzentech X-Raider 7.1 is based on C-Media CMI 8768 and supports eight 24-bit/96kHz channels that can be used through either the analog outputs or the digital SPDIF output.

Auzen X-Studio 5.1 is a simpler model with VIA’s ICE 1723 sound chip that supports 6 channels at 24-bit/96kHz. Just like X-Raider 7.1 the card comes with upgradeable OPAMPs for the audio channels.

The card is low profile and fits inside most systems with a free PCI slot, both cards namely use the older PCI format. They also sport EAX1.0/2.0, DirectSound 3D and A3D.

The price are around $60 and $50 respectively, and Auzentech’s new sound cards will become available soon.
