Creative’s X-Fi audio processor can be found in almost all kinds of audio products and its not just Creative that has launched these products. One of its partners is Auzentech and it has launched several sound cards based on Creative’s X-Fi circuits. One of its latest additions is called Auzentech X-Fi Forte and is different from most other X-Fi sound cards as it use a low-profile format. This means that the card fits inside basically all computers, even slimmed HTPC cases.
Auzentech has taken the functionality of the X-Fi chips and added some features of its own like support for DTS Interactive, DTS:NEO and more powerful components.
The first reviews of Auzentech X-Fi Forte has started appearing and overall the cards seems to impress in several ways, through both nice features and audio quality. The downsides are mainly the high price and the somewhat lacking Vista support with X-Fi.
