Battle of the consoles has begun

The battle already started when Microsoft and Sony presented its gaming consoles last week. But now they gone from launching products to trashtalking and now its time for Sony to complain over the Xbox 360. As expected its the fact that Microsoft’s console lacks a HD-capable optical unit, which the Playstation 3 has and will support the Blu-ray format. They don’t hold back when they are comparing the consoles and while its own console will support a bunch of new features, Microsoft “Xbox 1.5” will not.

 

“It’s a box made of future technology as opposed to Xbox 1.5, which seems to be a combination of things available today,” added Hirai, president and CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment America.”

In other words the war hasn’t only begun it is raging. Sony claims that Microsoft won’t gain very much from an early launch but hope that faithful customers, with the support of PS3’s impressive specificatons, will wait. At the same time they don’t hide the fact that it will become an expensive console, but hope that the consumers will look to the fact that you get so much more than a gaming console.

Right now we are only waiting for counter attack from Microsoft and perhaps if an updated version of Xbox 360 with HD DVD-support is on the way…
