ATI is expected to launch its new video card Radeon X1900GT on May 9, but already the first cards have been sold by Best Buy and at The Inquirer they’ve published a number of pictures of the card and among others reveal the card’s frequencies; 574MHz GPU and 594MHz graphics memory (~1.2GHz DDR). What might also be worth mentioning is that the video card’s carton clearly says Radeon X1900GT while X1900 GTO is printed on the label found on the video card. Something that makes you wonder what name ATI really wants to use. GTO is more like its earlier launches, while GT is more evident as a competitor to NVIDIA’s GeForce 7900 GT. In about a week we will know more about what name will actually be used.
