BFG GeForce 8800 GTX Water Cooled is another graphics card based on the G80 architecture which stands out from the crowd, not like the recent launches we’ve seen as it is not overclocked from factory. The potential for extreme overclocks is still there though as the card has been equipped with a water block to cool the graphics processor and memory circuits, separating from the regular air coolers which all other reference cards use. BFG has used a water block from well known water cooling manufacturer DangerDen, not a complete kit but only the core block.
BFG GeForce 8800 GTX Water Cooled is in other words an enthusiast card from top to toe and there should be no problems overclocking the card for those who decide to spend the extra money on it. At Guru3D they’ve taken a closer look at BFG’s unique G80 graphics card and the use of water cooling certainly adds another dimension to the graphics card, unfortunately just lower temperatures and noise, and even if the price takes new proportions that is from what it seems the only con of the card. The entire review can be found at Guru3D for those who are interested in this odd GeForce 8800 card.
