Biostar iDEQ 330P is one out of many SFF-barebones available today, but Biostar’s latest creatrion is based on nVidia’s nForce4 chipset. Through this circuit iDEQ 330P supports all K8-processors, both single and dual core. Biostar has been developing barebones for a long time and are mainly known for producing userfriendly barebones, something they’ve managed to accomplish once again. iDEQ 330P namely uses “använder” a very interesting mechanism to make the vital parts more accessible. Looks kind of like a snake unhinching its jaw just before devouring its pray. Except avoiding losing an arm or two (we pressume?) when working with iDEQ 330P there are some other similarities. The upper part is namely bent upwards quite a bit exposing memory slots and processor socket. A very nice solution. Unfortunately Biostar has tried to be a bit too innovative some times as the “solutions” seems to make things worse, but it’s nice to see new ideas brought forward on a mature market.
