Biostar Tpower is a series of motherboard designed for enthusiasts and users with high demands. It wasn’t long ago Biostar unveiled the first motherboard of the series based on the nForce 750a chipset, and while that might not be the most extreme of chipsets, the enthusiast features of the motherboard were certainly more so. Biostar has evidently observed the moves of the competition and adapted the most common features to its own Tpower lineup. One of the coming motherboards of the series seems to be based on the Intel P45 chipset.
Overclex.net has gotten a hold of pictures of Biostar TpowerI45. A motherboard using the Intel P45 chipset, which shares a lot of features with the TpowerN750. Most noticeably the semi-active chipset and mosfet cooling.
It sports two PCIe x16 slots, most likely 2×8 in CrossFireX mode, two PCI slots and two PCIe x1 slots. A bunch of angled SATA ports, floppy and PATA connectors and decent placement of the ATX power connectors, with perhaps the exception of the additional power for the graphics, but this one is always placed poorly. On-board power and reset buttons reveals the target consumers.
The socket area seems a bit crowded to be honest and the components close to the socket may be in the way for water cooling blocks or other more exotic mounting mechanisms. The exact specifications are unknown at this time.
