Buffalo is an active player on the DDR2 module market and currently working on modules with a frequency at over 1200MHz, but already today it offers the fastest modules on the market through its FireStix PC2-9200 modules. Buffalo FireStix PC2-9200 are specified to 1150MHz at 5-5-6-18 latencies. Buffalo’s memory modules doesn’t like much at a first glance, which makes you wonder how they perform. At Virtual-Hideout they’ve tested Buffalo’s memory modules which do their job but pushing these modules any higher than 1150MHz today feels like a tricky task.
But until releases Buffalo’s 1200MHz+ modules arrive its FireStix PC2-9200 are some of the baddest around. Buffalo are still pretty rare here in Europe, but we’re certainly looking forward to hearing more about the American memory manufacturer.
