AMD has issued the fifth driver update for this year. Catalyst 10.5 ships with a load of bug fixes for numerous games and settings for Eyefinity. The news include 120Hz monitor support with Radeon HD 4000 and HD 3000 families and better handling of multiple monitors when overclocking.
You will not see any higher frequencies, but the bug that lowered the clock frequencies to idle frequencies when using Overdrive has been fixed. The bug caused tearing and flickering when using multiple monitors.
This is a step in the right direction for AMD, but we’ve explained to them that there are more issues with how the monitors are handled. Something we will go into detail on when we get a more detailed reply.
