AMD has some news coming for the Catalyst drivers suit. Yesterday we presented the logotype for the coming drivers and AMD has now released a new version of Catalyst for download, Catalyst 10.9.
The September Catalyst driver comes with performance optimizations in STALKER: Call of Pripyat and Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena. The focus is on the Radeon HD 5000 family, but also the Radeon HD 4800 series will get a boost in Chronicles of Riddick.
AMD has also revisedthe support for GPU acceleration in Internet Explorer 9 Beta, and updated several game profiles and activated CrossFire in StarCraft II.
