Catalyst 6.7 CCC was recently released by ATI and as the seventh driver of this year for ATI’s Radeon series it has fixed a lot of bugs in games such as Oblivion and Quake 4 where the focus has been on the support for dual graphics cards in a Crossfire configuration. According to ATI Catalyst 6.7 has an overall improved support for Crossfire and this through, among other things, that it lets users to force the graphics card into Alternate Fram Rendering mode in Direct3D. A setting that has not been accepted by all Direct3D applications before. More information about the new driver can be found at ATI’s homepage.
