AMD has launched the fifth revision of its monthly Catalyst drivers. Catalyst 9.5 doesn’t bring any overwhelming news but AMD says it has managed to squeeze out some more performance from Company of Heroes and BattleForge. Performance aside, it has improved ATI Stream, AMD’s GPGPU technology. With Catalyst 9.5 it has solved problem with ATI Video Converter in Windows Vista, a video converting tool supported by both Radeon HD 4600 and HD 4800.
AMD has also revised the Windows 7 support with the new drivers. As you perhaps know AMD has baked in support for both Windows Vista and Windows 7 in the same driver and with Catalyst 9.5 it has solved several problems in Microsoft’s latest operating system, including some Blu-ray playback problems.
More information on the drivers can be found over at AMD’s website where you can also download Catalyst 9.5.
