CellShock has launched a new DDR3-1866 kit, and much like previous modules from CellShock, these have been thoroughly tested and approved by the enthusiast community. The modules are based on Micron D9JNL chips, unlike most other similar kits which use the D9GTR chips. Early tests showed that this wasn’t a drawback though, but the new memory was in fact capable of some very respectable speeds at surprisingly low voltages.

The default frequency of 1866MHz was achieved with 8-8-8-16 timings, but can be pushed over 1900MHz with the same timings and the right tools. With 7-7-7 timings the modules have been tested and verified to go over 1800MHz.

The kit is available in stores now and costs $410/€310.
