China develop its own 3G net

China has now developed its own standard for the third generation mobile net, 3G. China’s new standard is called TD-SCDMA and has been developed so that it will not have to import technology and instead use its own standard. The technology is just around the corner and they have completed most of the tests necessary. That China are fast with coming up with its own data transfering standards is nothing new as we have earlier reported about China and Japan’s plans for a more powerful 4G network, a technology that still has a few more years to go before it is ready though.
