Google has released Version 4 of its browser Chrome and says it brings 1500 new features. This is course bending the truth a bit, it is namely the support for extensions and the number of extensions that are 1500. In the long run this is of course great news not only for Google but also third-party developers.
The support for extensions aside Google has also sped up Chrome 4.0 and improved the bookmark synchronization and HTML5 support.
Even if Chrome doesn’t have the same big library as Firefox there are still quite many and good extensions to choose from. This includes different themes for changing appearances or more technologically advanced extensions like YouTube HTML5-ifier. This extension swaps YouTube’s flash video player for a HTML5-based version, which is much easier on the processor.
Chrome 4.0 can be found at Google’s website and more information on the browser in the developer blog.
