Google launched Chrome v2 a while back, but the work doesn’t stop there. The next version is well under way and it will bring one of the most wanted upgrades: extensions. Developer versions of Google Chrome already have a number of extensions to try out, although under development them as well, and among them we find AdSweep, much like AdBlock, using JavaScript for blocking advertisements.
Other mentionable extensions include Cleeki which makes use of Microsoft’s latest version of Internet Explorer. Cleeki enables Chrome, and other browsers, to use IE8’s new Accelerator technology, which makes it easier to integrate with websites, one of IE8’s main features that will soon also be available with Google Chrome.

The number of Chrome extension will of course increase and when the new version of the browser comes along Google will launch an extension gallery where you can browse all of the new extensions.
