The sales of chipsets increased substantially in 2010. Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA) has released information on the ales in March, and circuits of all shapes and sizes worth 23.06 billion dollars changed hands. This is an increase by 4.6% from February, but a more impressive growth of 58.3% year-to-year. According to SIA this is a record note only beaten by the number from November 2007.
The largest increase since February was in Europe with Europa with 7.1%, while Asia has exploded since last year and increased by 72%.
The electronics industry is heading for brighter times and even if SIA believes 2010 will be a good year the difference is expected to shrink in H2 since the latter half of 2009 was also very good.
