Cisco buys KiSS for $61 millions

Cisco has announced that it is buying the Denmark-based company KiSS Technoplogy A/S. KiSS is mainly known for its networkbased DVD-players and other multimediaproducts, a market Cisco is very eager to enter. Through its daughter company Linksys Cisco will continue to sell and offer support for KiSS existing products in Europe and with time also develop new products for other markets. Cisco will have to pay $61 millions in cash and stock to KiSS current owner to claim the company that will be Cisco’s eighth purchase during 2005.
