CompAmerica has announced a number of laptops in the past that have been quite special. They’ve been real performance monsters and its latest creation is no exception. The new 17″ laptop, Orca Extreme, has a Core 2 Extreme X6800, two 7950GT circuits running in SLI and 3 2,5″ 200GB harddrives (sports RAID 0,1 & 5). The monitor has a resolution at 1920×1080 to make sure the power of the graphics circuits comes to good use. On top of that we find the regular connections in the form of GB Ethernet, USB, Firewire, WLAN (108Gbps) Bluetooth, etc. An interesting detail is that the laptop has a full-size keyboard, but the prize at over $3,000 will perhaps scare away more than a few.
