Coolink has announced a new graphics card cooler called GFXChilla. As with most of Coolink’s products, the focus is on least possible noise, while still keeping the product cool. GFXChilla sports four 6mm heatpipes transporting the heat from the core to the large aluminum heatsink. Coolink has fitted the cooler with two low-RPM 80mm fans for sufficient airflow. Coolink has measured the noise level to 18dB(A) and since they’re only 10mm thick, the cooler only needs one slot. Those who want even better cooling, can switch to regular 80x80x25mm fans, but that will rid you of a second expansion slot.
GFXChilla works with several graphics card series thanks to the flexible mounting bracket, but there is no mention of NVIDIA’s high-end cards based on the G80 chips. GeForce 8800GT and 8800GTS 512MB are both OK though, as well as ATI’s Radeon HD 3850/3870 cards. The cooler is immediately available and costs €29.90/$37.90.
