It’s less than a month to go before the annual Swedish Computer Performance Championship and already participants have started warming up before the competition. One of these is last year’s winner of Percentage Overclocking, Jonas “Mean Machine” Klar.
Jonas decided to test some of his coming SM processors and one of the circuits that was stuck below a LN2 pot was Intel’s decent Core 2 Duo E6300. A processor that was made with 65 nanometer and a low stock frequency is an interesting candidate for Percentage Overclocking.
In Jonas SM warmup he pushed Intel’s dual-core processor from its stock frequency of 1.86 GHz up to 4.48 GHz, which is a real monster result with E6300. With an FSB of 640 MHz on an ASUS Rampage Extreme motherboard it is the fourth highest clocked E6300 processor worldwide.
The percentage overclock was not too back either, 140%, even it will hardly be enough to win this year, but it is a very good start – one month before the competition starts.
