Intel‘s first quad-core processor for the desktop market, Kentsfield, will appear in the form of Core 2 Extreme QX6700 and earlier it’s been pretty clear that it would arrive in November. Now The Inquirer has published what it claims to be the final launch date for Kentsfield, namely November 14. This means that in about a month we will see Intel’s anticipated quad-core and we can assure you that we will have more information to publish when Intel allows. Inq also insinuates that AMD 4×4 would be launched shortly afterwards and we can nothing but agree. In any case, AMD won’t give Intel a headstart with its new processor model.
