Corsair continues its overclocking experiments and with a smörgåsbord of high-end memory modules at its disposal we can’t say we’re surprise that it can share impressive results now and then. It took the recently launched DDR3-2533 Dominator GTX4 modules and pushed them record high frequencies with the Socket AM3 platform.
Corsair Dominator GTX4 is specified to operate at 2533 MHz with Intel’s P55 platform, but AMD’s Phenom II X6 processors is a lot more sensitive to high memory speeds, which didn’t stop Corsair from going there though.
With a Phenom II X6 1090T CPU and a pair of Corsair Dominator GTX4, cooled by an Airflow memory fan, Corsair managed to break a world record in memory frequency for the AMD platform with 2287,6 MHz.
