Corsair’s water cooling venture continues and now that it has launched its third water cooling kit in the form of Corsair Nautilus 500 it has taken the time to expand this kit instead of launching a whole new one. Corsair has namely announced that it has launched water cooling blocks for graphics cards which have been designed to work with its Nautilus system. Corsair Nautilus GPU Water Block is intended for NVIDIA’s graphics card series and will accoridng to the manufacturer fit GeForce 7800, 7900 GT/GTX and 7950GT. The water blocks are also made so that they can be used with an SLI configuration for those who wants to use more than one card.
By using regular 3/8″ connectors the blocks are compatible with other water cooling systems but they are of course intended for Nautilus owners. The water blocks are completely covering and thus cools both GPU and memory circuits, which is a good thing. How efficient the blocks are remains to be seen, but Corsair claims that you will be able to achieve up to 40% better cooling with these blocks.
“Corsair engineers are overclockers at heart. We realize the importance of having excellent cooling for the core components in order to maximize performance. In combination with our Nautlilus500 external liquid cooling unit, and the included processor block, the Nautilus GPU blocks are designed to deliver exceptional system cooling and performance.”
The price of the blocks will be 99 USD for the single model while the dual for SLI with dual blocks, will cost 199 USD. That little extra also costs a little more, but lower temperatures and less fans is worth a lot to many.
