Corsair announced last week that it had solved the problems of the SandForce SSD series Force 3. The company has confirmed that beside the returns it has also started shipping fresh Force 3 120GB models to stores. The first loads should appear in the coming days.
Corsair Force 3 series are based on the SandForce SF-2281 SSD controller and boasts some really nice performance specifications. The new SandForce series ran into problems earlier this month when a problem with the firmware and circuit board was discovered, the result being lockups and Blue Screens of Death.
Corsair was quick to stop sales of the new Force 3 series and performed free replacements where customers were given the choice of returning the drive for a refund or a replacement.
The majority of the returns are out of the way and Corsair is shipping new drives to stores, which means the new Force 3 series should be available next week.
