Corsair launch Nautilus500 – external water cooling

Small preview imageCorsair has just announced a new water cooling kit a bit our of the ordinary. Except for a “different” design Corsair’s kist comes with the QuickInstall design that makes it possible to install it without having to remove the motherboard from the case and all together it shouldn’t take more than 15 minutes for a complete installation. According to Corsair the new kit is 30% more efficient than air cooling (CPU, 40% with GPU) thanks to the blocks used made in solid copper with Micro Channel Technology. The kit fits all current sockets, excepts Socket A which perhaps isn’t a “current” socket anymore even though there are still many users with these systems.

The new kit will be shipped to retailers at once and the MSRP is $159, which sounds quite ok. The kit only comes with a CPU block, but can easily be completed.
