Most will do just fine with 4GB RAM today, but 8GB or even 12GB RAM are realistic options for those working with big and heavy applications. However if you’re working with 3D rendering or image editing of the larger scale you may need even more. Corsair has taken things up a notch by announcing a new 24GB DDR3 memory kit, consisting of six 4GB modules.

The kit is designed for the LGA 1366 platform and Intel’s Bloomfield processors, and operates at 1333MHz with 1.65V operating voltage. The memory latencies are set to 9-9-9-27 and you can only buy it through Corsair’s own webshop.

Corsair informed us that the memory kit will cost 1349.99 USD and the limited quantities is the reason it is not available at regular stores. Although, Corsair’s webshop ships worldwide and focuses on some of the more extreme products it has to offer.
