Creative SoundBlaster X-Fi Elite Pro is the name of Creative’s new flagship on the sound card market and just as the name is long the list of features is impressive, as it is based on the new X-Fi sound circuit Creative has been working on for the last couple of years. We at NordicHardware were at the press meeting in Germany when Creative revealed its card to the public and ever since we came back from this event we’ve been working with this very extensive review. We are not the first to publish a review of this card but most likely have the most in-depth one. The result of a couple of weeks of testing and writing has resulted in a 27 pages, full ones, long review that brings forth more or less every single feature Creative’s new flagship has to offer and how the X-Fi sound circuit performs. If you want to know more about the hottest sound card on the PC-market you should take a while to read through the perhaps most extensive review of Creative SoundBlaster X-Fi Elite Pro here at NH.
“X-Fi doesn’t just mean a bunch of new products with improved DA transformers and a newly designed breakout box, but more of a fundamental shift of generations that’s happening. Keep in mind that it’s about seven years ago since Creative launched a completely new chip. For example, the old SoundBlaster Live! uses the same fundamental technology just like the recent SoundBlaster Audigy 4 Pro.”
