Creative Zen Vision W is the latest addition to Creative’s PMP (portable media player) assortment and it hasn’t held back when developing this portable video player, because with its LCD display at 4.3″ there is no doubt what your’re suppose to use Zen Vision W for. The widescreen display has a resolution at 480×272 pixels and can display up to 262,144 colors. A good foundation for a PMP which wants to stand out when watching videos and photos. Zen Vision W therefore also supports most known video formats such as AVI, DivX 4/5, Xvid, MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG4-SP, WMP9 and Motion-JPG.
For those who feel that 4.3″ is a bit small Creative has also equipped the player with a TV output for connecting it to the TV or perhaps even projector. Zen Vision W isn’t just a video player but also sports music and picture formats. Creative has also integrated an FM radio, voice recording and a card reader which makes it possible to transfer pictures from your digital camera directly onto the player.
For storing all of the material you can get your Zen Vision W with a storage capacity at up to 60GB. But there is also a cheaper model with only 30GB of storage. Despite its massive display the removable Li-Ion battery allows up to 13 hours of listening or 4.5 hours of movie watching.
Zen Vision W measures 134mm x 75mm x 22mm (26.4mm for the 60GB version) and the weight will be barely 300g for the top model while the 30GB model is 20g lighter.
Creative Zen Vision W is looking very promising as a portable video player, which is just what Creative is going for. Zen Vision W is expected to arrive in stores later this month, so far its just the 30GB model, but the 60GB model will arrive at the end of the month. The 30GB will cost S$650 (409 USD) and the 60GB S$750 ($479).
