When HP announced the Blackbird 002 there was more hiding under the hood than the eye could first see. The new LCLC cooling from Asetek certainly looked nice, and the case design seemed to be capable of handling quite a lot of heat. That could certainly be needed when you combine NVIDIA’s hot nForce 680i chipset with two of AMD/ATI’s Radeon HD 2900 XT. It namely seems like that HP/Voodoo PC will be offering both CrossFire and SLI setups, but both will use the NVIDIA nForce 680i chipset. In an interview with CustomPC, CTO of HP Gaming Rahul Sood, tells them that HP is able to run CrossFire on an NVIDIA chipset.
We also find out some other interesting stuff about the HP Blackbird, such as the fact that the BIOS is untouched and have all of the original options and settings of the ASUS Striker.
