Memory prices have kept climbing as we have entered the next decade. According to fresh information the spot price of 1Gb DDR3 memory chips have gone up during the last week where unbranded memory chips climbed by 5%, while branded chips have risen with 3%. Branded 2Gb DDR3 memory circuits now cost 3.00 USD a piece and they fear that prices will increase to more than 3.10 USD per unit, which would result in a more than noticeable price increase with 2GB DDR3 memory modules.

We have witnessed how the prices of DDR3 memory modules have gone up little by little, clearly reflected by the higher prices of DDR3 memory chips.

The prices of 1Gb DDR2 memory chips have remained relatively stable during the same period of time.
