Small preview imageDell 2007WFP has been expected for some time now, simply a replacement for the popular 2005WFP model. Now the new model has finally arrived at Dell’s site, in the USA, available for purchase. Just as we have reported earlier there are at best small differences between 2007WFP and the predecessor. The size is of course the same (20.1″ widescreen), but also the resolution (1680×1050), response time (16ms) and brightness (300cd/m²) are identical. The only thing separating the two is a better contrast ratio at 800:1 and a new design. The price of the new monitor, $529, is also identical with the predecessor.

We haven’t seen 2007WFP in Europe yet though and those who can live with a bit lower contrast ratio and the old design you can find 2005WFP with a 20% rebate if your lucky. We assume Dell is selling off the monitor to make room for the new sibling.
