Dell has now announced that it will help companies with factory installations of Microsoft’s new operating system Windows Vista. It points out that Dell’s servers, storage systems, desktops and laptops are optimized for Windows Vista and the companies that wants their computers with Vista can thus get help from Dell. The companies simply send in their Windows Vista image to Dell which then installs this image on all of the companies’ machines through its regular image installation system. A neat solution for those companies who wants to get ready for Vista fast, the question is if it’s enough for the companies to upgrade today.
