Dell and its 30″ monitor is in a much tighter spot now that the competition has increased. Dell has therefore launched a new model of its 30″ LCD monitor. Dell UltraSharp 3007WFP-HC is as the name implies not a revolutionizing monitor, but what it has perfected is still something very important. Dell has announced that the colors have been improved significantly and that 3007WFP-HC now covers 92% of NTSC’s gamut. According to Dell most other monitors cover only 72%. In short, Dell’s new monitor will offer a higher contrast ratio than the specified 700:1, an evident reply to both Samsung’s and HP’s new 30″ models with a contrast ratio at 1000:1.
