Also Dell is going to bring forth more affordable high resolution 27″ monitors. A new model called Dell Ultrasharp U2713HM has leaked, and it is believed to be a cheaper alternative to the popular U2711. It has a LED backlit IPS panel with 2560 x 1440 px resolution.
When you discuss 27″ monitors it is most often cheaper Korean models. Over the last couple of months the interest for Korean eBay companies has grown with each day passing and it would be weird otherwise as you can get high resolution 27″ displays with overall good IPS panels for 200 to 300 euro. The overal image quality seems to be really good, althrough the build quality and warranty are less impressive.
Dell will hardly launch a 27″ monitor for below 300€, but now that a new model has leaked it is a member of the Ultrasharp program, which means it should be a bit more affordable.
Dell Ultrasharp U2713HM comes with a LED backlit IPS panel at 27 inches and 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution. The screen has plenty of video inputs, including VGA, dual-link DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort – most competing Korean budget monitos settle for a single DVI port.
There is still no information on the price, but since Dell launched U2412HM as a cheaper alternative to U2410 it makes sense that Ultrasharp U2713HM will be a complement to Ultrasharp U2711. With the price difference of the two 24″ models is more than 40% it is going to be very interesting to see what the price will be for this new 27″ model,
