Dell is as you know one of Intel’s biggest and most successful partner and to date there hasn’t been a single AMD-based system in Dell’s range of products. The past months though, rumours have circulated that Dell are considering AMD’s solutions and now they have once again opened the door for co-operation with AMD. They have told that they in fact don’t have an exclusive agreement with Intel and that they aren’t against the idea of using AMD’s platforms. Dell has been in this position for years though and the question is if Intel aren’t heading for a better position on the market than they’ve had in years. We are pretty convinced that Dell will at least wait with desktop based AMD-solutions until Intel’s new micro architecture has been launched.
