Heatsinks and computer case are becoming all the more reliant on the larger 140mm fans and at X-bit Labs they decided to make throrough study of 140mm fans to find the most efficient solution available today.
The test shows fans being tested in a windtunnel made by suction straws, but it also tests noise and compare the airflow per decibel. A very interesting comparison that offers some surprises and not the least shows that te price tag doesn’t necesserily match the performance.
The participating fans:
- Deep Cool UF140
- Evercool Red Scorpion (RSF-14)
- Nanoxia DX-14-700/ DX-14-1200
- Noctua NF-P14 FLX
- Noiseblocker NB-BlackSilentPRO PK-1/2/3
- Revoltec AirGuard 140 mm (RL060)
- Scythe Slip Stream 140 (SM1425SL12H)
