DFI has been able to establish itself quite well on the motherboard market with its enthusiast boards and many were worried when rumors appeared that DFI would stop making motherboards. Later on, this turned out to be false and that DFI would instead focus more on its enthusiast boards and put less weighht on the budget alternatives. Now new information about DFI’s coming motherboards for the last months of 2006 has appeared and to many’s great joy the products seems to be coming in like never before.

At VR-Zone they’ve pubvlished two roadmaps from DFI where see the plans for both the third and fourth quarter of 2006. We see how DFI will launch boards during the third quarter, if it is’nt counting in fiscal quarters, which we can’t really tell. However, the most interesting is of course the actual boards that are coming. We can see several LAN Party UT models but also a couple of Infinity models for the low-end market. It is going for a broad support for both AMD Socket AM2 and Intel’s Socket 775 with very interesting chipsets in the form of ATI/AMD RS690, ATI RD600, NVIDIA NF680i SLI and more. Those who wants to start planning their next purchase should check out the report over at VR-Zone.
