Diamond has announced a new model based on the triumphant Radeon HD 4670 chip. This new model sports an increased memory buffer with 1GB of 900MHz GDDR3 memory. The core operates at the reference 750MHz and with 320 shader processors under the hood the larger buffer may be justified. We will have to wait for reviews before we pass a judgment. Radeon HD 4870 1GB gained a lot from the larger buffer, and while we certainly don’t think we will see the same difference with 4670, there might at least a noticeable one.
