The market for digital cameras is growing rapidly, and even though a camera’s resolution could lie about the picture-quality, it is an important part of the digital camera. In normal compact-cameras the resolution usually is about 3-5Mpixels, but a few models has been presented with up to 10Mpixel. System cameras often gives resolutions of over 10Mpixel, but that is nothing compared to Kodak’s new high-resolution CCD-sensor (Charge-Coupled Device) can handle. Kodak has now launched the world’s most high-resoluted sensor for medium-sized cameras, and the top-of-the-line model has a resolution of a whopping 39Mpixel. Something we might not see in our regular compact cameras in a few years, but it gives a small hint of the development within the digital-camera market.
