Firefox 2.0 was recently released as an official beta and FF2.0 is expected to be facing a worthy opponent with Microsoft’s Internet Explorer 7, which should arrive in its final appearance at the end of the year. Now Mozilla has taken further precautions and tries to recruit more users. It has namely launched a campaign called World Firefox Day. The campaign started on July 15, the same day the Mozilla Foundation was founded, and point of the whole campaign is to find a friend to also download the browser Firefox. If you find a friend who hasn’t used Firefox earlier and downloads the browser before September 15 both you and him will be added to Firefox 2.
Exactly how and where the names will be forever imprinted is a bit uncertain, but it doesn’t feel like Mozilla is charging to much for this. More information about the campaign and registration can be found at på WorldFirefoxDay.com.
