NVIDIA’s venture with the physics technology PhysX has now gained a new partner. Game distributor Electronic Arts has decided to license the PhysX technology for its coming games. By using the GPU for accelerating physical effects the developers can do a lot more demanding and extensive effects that in the end should result in a better gaming experience. NVIDIA has gained a powerful ally on the gaming market, something that should lead to more PhysX capable titles in the future.

NVIDIA PhysX Technology Made Available as a Development Platform for EA’s Global Studios

(NASDAQ: ERTS) has licensed NVIDIA PhysX technology as a development platform which will be available for EA’s studios worldwide.
