ASUS president Jonney Shih spoke to the NYTimes on the future about the company and not surprisingly they quickly got to ASUS’ Eee family. What started with the first netbook has grown to become a whole brand of its own and at CES ASUS displayed Eee Keyboard, which is simply a keyboard with a computer and display built into it. The idea of Eee Keyboard is that should be used with external displays, like the living room TV or such. This is also where ASUS sees the future of Eee, a digital home with tons of displays that are just waiting to be controlled by us consumers.

The question is what we would use to control all these monitors and the answer was; a mobile phone. ASUS is already working on a cheap smart phone called … Eee Phone!

The idea behind Eee Phone is that it will become an interactive remote for the digital home and will make everything blend, which a mobile phone for remote really should be able to do since most people feel naked without their mobile about.
