Evercool Thermal Corporation is a Taiwanese company that works mainly with coolers. While it may not be a big name around these parts, they are in Asia, but when we saw Transformer S we just had to write about it. The cooler itself is nothing special, but the commercial gives us chills – for several reasons.
Evercool today presents the latest addition Transformer S, that looks like a cooler for the budget user. It measures 130 x 160 x 78.5 mm and weighs 630 gram. It sports two copper heatpipes, a row of aluminum fins and a 120 mm fan operating at 800-2200 RPM at less than 35 dBa.

The cooler is compatible with Intel LGA775/1155/1156/1366 and AMD AM2/AM2+/AM3/AM3+, and there is not really that much more to add. No price or launch date was mentioned, but it looks like a budget cooler that will outperform the reference coolers. The most impressive about Transformer S is the commercial it is marketed with.
The video has to be one of the more expensive in 2011, and it has a surprisingly deep story … or maybe not. Graphically it reminds us of games from the PS1 and suddenly we felt all nostalgic.
Evercool has managed to make a commercial that is so bad it becomes good, any PR is good PR. We hope it spent more mony on the development of the cooler than the video.
