The motherboard is built around Intel’s 5520 chipset and handles processors with the LGA 1366 socket. Those who want to use both slots need to use Intel’s Xeon 5000/6000 series and with seven PCIe x16 slots, dual NF200 PCIe bridges and twelve DDR3 slots it’s a motherboard with plenty of everything.
Other features worth mentioning is Quad SLI, CrossFireX, two SATA 6,0 Gbps ports and two USB 3.0 ports. The motherboard use the HPTX formfactor, houses buttons for clearing CMOS, rebooting and booting and a port for the EVGA EVBot.
EVGA has started taking pre-orders and the price is 599,99 dollar. A lot of money for a motherboard, but actually less than expected. Expect delivery during the first week of June.
