In about one week we will open up the doors for SPC2006 to crown Sweden’s best overclockers and now it seems there will be the possibility to collect two titles if you’re able to do well in Futuremark’s 3DMark benchmarks. EVGA has namely decided to arrange a 3DMark06 contest, which goes on till December 15 and the winners of this competition will win a Zero-G flight. Zero-G is short for zero gravitation and is used by NASA during its astronaut training. They will let two winners from North America and one from Europe come along on a Zero-G flight on January 20 and it should not be an experience soon to be forgotten.
“EVGA has partnered with Zero G to bring our customers an amazing weightless experience. Imagine free falling 10,000 feet, without a parachute! Zero G makes it possible by flying a plane to approximately 34,000 feet and then going into a nose dive for 10,000 feet before pulling up. This rollercoaster effect (shown in the picture below) will generate 25-30 seconds of weightlessness on each drop.”
From what we’ve seen during earlier championships the best 3DMark results are usually up to par with the top world results so don’t be surprised if we see a two title champion soon. More information about the contest can be found at EVGA’s website.
