There are harddrives using USB2.0. There are DV cameras connecting to FireWire ports. These are all connections brought up to allow faster transfer speeds. Well, apparently, this wasn’t enough for somebody and considering there seems to be plenty of those who want external harddrives and alike, I can respect this. Modsynergy has had a look at a product from Highpoint, called the e.SATA Kit. As the name implies, it gives you the option to connect a SATA or ATA133/100 device to your computer externally, while using transfer rates following the Serial ATA standard (with a maximum of 150 MB/s).
