Mozilla has announced that it will release the finished version of Firefox 3 on June 17th, today. Currently, Mozilla’s website is unreachable, which we can only assume is because people have been hammering the website, constantly updating to see if the new version has been released. Mozilla is attempting to break the previous download record, but if the site has to return online soon if that is going to happen. Firefox 2 was longed for by extremely many and just the fact that even more people are expected to download Firefox 3 just shows how much the browser has grown and matured.
Yours truly have been using Firefox 3 since it reach the beta stage and it has been working flawlessly. The new bookmark manager adds a lot of feature, but most of all makes it a lot easier to organize your bookmarks. The new location bar with a built-in search function may take some time getting used to, but when there, you will love it. It does use a bit less memory, but since it is also noticeably faster, I don’t mind if if occupies the same amount of memory space.
