Firefox is according to many a more secure browser than Internet Explorer but at several occations we’ve seen critical breaches in Mozilla’s browser. The fixing of these breaches is something they put a lot of energy into and therefore this comes as quite a chock as Firefox now has managed to dig up a seven year old security hole. It’s a bug that was being used for spoofing attacks and earlier was fixed with Mozilla’s browsers. But with the launch of Firefox 1.0.4 and Mozilla 1.7.8 the bug has ressurected for unknown reasons. Mozilla investigates the report from Secunia and those of you who tans to test you browser can do so  here.
