Firefox was just released as RC2 and took another step towards a final version of the browser. Rumors has it that Microsoft will release its IE 7.0 on Windows Update any day now, but any exact date is at the moment unknown. According to a market research done by Market Share, Firefox now has approximately 12.46% of the market, while Internet Explorer has dropped to 82.10%. It still is quite an enormous difference but if check what browsers our readers here at NordicHardware use the numbers are far more equal. Anyhow it seems like Firefox is still gaining on IE, but only small steps at a time.
